≪ Design ≫
"KANNO Textiles" ("Kanno Orimono")
This is a hand towel from the Kanno Fabric company.
The inlaid logo references the fact that, in 1899 AD, our founder, Shinpei Kanno, teamed up with two brothers to establish the Kanno company: the logo is made up of three threads entwined with each other. This is the badge of our company.
The overall design is called "Tachiwakugara," a traditional pattern which has existed in Japan since long ago.
This is a pattern which is meant to invoke the impression of what one might see at a hot spring, with steam steadily billowing into the sky and spreading out...
Using designs of such a fine origin is associated with many good things, so we used it in our Kanno Fabrics hand towels.
≪ Color ≫
Millennial Green (Senzai Midori)
This shade of green is a similar deep evergreen to ancient rock green, and is also the same deep shade as an ancient pine tree.
The color carries the image of an ancient pine tree, an omen of good luck. The millennium represents a thousand years, meaning that it will stay strong throughout all four seasons, for a thousand years.
