One of the Kabuki patterns, based on a Kabuki costume.
Vertical striped pattern with alternating patterns of four lines and entwined handles (handle of the costume chest of drawers).
The repeating pattern represents the hope for the ongoing future.

Yellowish Red (Kaki-iro)
It refers to a yellowish red like the kaki (persimmon) fruit.
There is a color with a similar name, kakishibu-iro.
That has the color of kakishibu (persimmon tannin) which is different from a reddish brown dyed using indian red.
