"Cherry Blossom" ("Sakura")
In Japan we celebrate the blooming of cherry blossoms in the spring, in hope of a good harvest.
Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing, is when we celebrate the god of agriculture by sitting under the cherry trees in full bloom, eating and drinking.
Therefore the cherry blossom motif represents the "coming of spring", "arrival of happiness".
In addition, since the grain harvest was predicted by watching how the cherry trees blossom, it also became the motif for a rich harvest.
≪ Color ≫
Crimson (Beni-iro)
