This japanese towel is dyed using traditional hand dyeing techniques unique to Japan called "Chusen".The back side is the same design.The back side is not white.You can use it without worrying about the front and back.

"Hemp Leaf" ("Asanoha")
A repeating geometric pattern that has a hexagonal shape at its base.
It has its name since its shape resembles a hemp leaf.
Hemp is a sturdy plant that grows quickly and straight up.
It has been used as a pattern for baby clothes, since it implies the wish for a baby to grow strong and healthy.
≪ Color ≫
It is a deeper color than the light indigo of the indigo dye. It is a deep blue with a bit of purple tone.
With indigo (hanada) color as the base, we have light indigo colors such as usuhanada and asahanada, and deep indigo colors such as kokihanada and fukahanada.
